Translation and Adaptation of Planned Happenstance Career Inventory in Urdu Language

The present study was aimed to achieve two objectives: (a) translate and adapt the English version of Planned Happenstance Career Inventory (PHCI) in Urdu language, (b) establish its psychometric properties with respect Pakistani culture. divided into phases. Phase I consisted forward backward translation scale initial statistical analysis, whereas II focused on establishing properties. Results yielded reliable. analysis correlation (r = .732, p < .01), a sample (n=87), which suggests strong Test-Retest reliability discriminant validity proved insignificant relationship Counterproductive Work Behaviour Checklist PHCI-Urdu .018, > .05), significant Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale .358, .01) convergent scales. This concludes that PHCI- would be an effective tool for individual career counselling as well trainings related prepare students uncertain circumstances from public private educational sectors.
